For personal or business have you ever wanted your own email address that wasn't email@example.com or whydidIusethisname@outlook.com? It's really not that difficult, not expensive (just have to buy the domain name, the email service can be free), and gives you a cool memorable name for your personal and/or professional needs.
The first step is to find and buy a domain name. I personally use godaddy.com, domains range from $0.99 to $11.99/yr. If you want a .com it will cost $11.99 if it's available. Just go and search for some names and see what is available, once you find something you just need to purchase it. There are a lot of options, paying for multiple years, hiding your information, etc, etc. Up to you if you want to pay for the extra services, I don't bother.
Once you have your domain name purchased head over to zoho.com and enter in your domain name. Then create your account, the process is fairly simple, and they do a good job of giving you all the steps you need to do. There are 4-5 steps and it will look overwhelming with a lot of acronyms like CNAME, MX, and TXT records, if you haven't worked with a domain before, but I assure you if you follow the instructions it will take no time. If you have problems let me know and I can help guide you.
Then download the Zoho mail app for your phone or just log in to mail.zoho.com to start sending and receiving emails at your new address.
